Start from the car park in Saint-Aubin, south of the village on the D178.
(S/E) Head back towards the village and turn left towards Bonnétable. Turn right onto the road to Nogent-le-Bernard and immediately left onto Chemin de la Montrée, which passes in front of the cemetery. Cross the ford over the Rosay stream and you’ll come out onto the road to Saint-Georges-du-Rosay at a place called Le Gué de l’Aulnay.
(1) Take this road to the right for 800 m and you will reach the Croix du Cormier.
(2) Leave the road and follow the stony path to the left. At the end, turn right onto a grassy path that climbs steeply up to Le Cormier. Follow the stony path straight on to Bois Gars.
(3) Turn left onto the path which follows a lovely avenue lined with pollarded trees and joins the Route de Bonnétable (D7) after a fairly steep descent.
(4) Take the road on the left towards Saint-Aubin for 100 m. Cross carefully and turn left onto the first small tarmac road at Grand Sablon. At the bend to the right of the road, turn left onto the path towards Petite Fosse Abrannière, which you pass by to follow a grassy path that leads onto a small road.
(5) Continue left along this road, which climbs up to a place called Le Carrefour.
(6) Turn left, heading due east, onto a small path that enters a wood. Cross the wood and arrive at a junction; turn left towards La Contessière, passing it to reach the tarmac path of La Grande Bausserie.
(7) Cross this road and follow a grassy path lined with trees, which then crosses a cultivated field and continues to a small road.
(8) Take the grassy path opposite, which leads onto a road at a place called Le Cormier.
Continue to the left, pass in front of La Grande Bellangère and come out onto the D178 (from Saint-Aubin to Saint-Martin-des-Monts).
(9) Cross carefully and head straight on along the tarmac path which passes in front of Les Grosses Pierres. Continue, then turn left onto the Chemin de la Petite Chauvelière. This descends very steeply and leads onto a tarmac path which passes in front of Blot to the D7.
(10)Cross carefully and take a narrow dirt track that passes behind a small house and then climbs steeply up to Les Lèveries. Follow the tarmac road to a small road, which you follow to the left.
(11) At the crossroads, leave this small road to the left onto a dirt track that descends to Les Petites Fontaines and the entrance to Saint-Aubin.
(12) Continue right along Rue des Écoles, which passes in front of the church, then follow Rue de la Mairie towards Bonnétable and turn left to reach the village hall and the car park (S/E).
