(S/E) From Place Henri Paumier (town hall), head west along the Route de Saint-Denis-des-Coudrais, which climbs. After about a hundred metres, turn left onto the stony path (not shown on the map) which climbs towards the housing estate. Continue along Rue des Charmes and, at the end, turn right. At the Stop sign, turn left.
(1) On leaving the village, turn right onto Rue de La Bonnière. After passing the hamlet of the same name, at the next junction, first turn left then right to continue along a dirt track.
(2) At the crossroads, turn sharply left onto a grassy track. Pass the hamlet of La Perronière and continue south-south-west between the fields. At the end, follow a small road to the right.
(3) After about 250m, turn right onto Chemin de la Petite Varenne, known as ‘des Trognes’. Continue north-north-east until you reach a road. Then follow this road to the right.
(2) At the junction you passed earlier, take thesecond right towards La Maison Neuve. At the D85 road, make the first turn left then right to go past the buildings on the right. Continue north-east, pass La Blanchardière, ignore the turn-off to the left towards Le Marais and continue along the path, which becomes a gravel track.
(4) At the T-junction, turn left. When the path turns left towards the hamlet of l'Anerie, continue straight on along the edge of the woods and then through the fields.
(5) At the T-junction, turn right. Pass the hamlet of La Contessière on your left and come out onto a small road. Cross the road and take the grassy, tree-lined path opposite, following it for 400m.
(6) The country lane branches off to the right and crosses a cultivated field for 150m (there used to be a path here, which has since been ploughed over, but passage is permitted). You’ll come out onto a dirt track and follow it to the left. Cross a road and continue along the track opposite.
(7) At Le Cormier, take the road on the right. Head straight on towards the south-west. At the end, turn left.
(8) At the next junction, turn left. Pass through the hamlets of Les Braudières and then La Rigottière.
(9) On leaving La Rigottière, turn right onto Chemin des Brosses. Before reaching this hamlet, take a path on the left and head down into a wood. You will arrive at the hamlet of Les Croisettes.
(10) Then turn right towards Le Petit Tertre. Once you reach Les Alougères, continue along a small road.
(11) At the end, turn left and pass through the hamlet of Les Bretonnières. Before the hamlet of Les Petits Bois, at the entrance to a wood, take a small path that descends steeply.
(12) You will come out onto the Route de la Boss (D85) and follow it to the left. This will take you back to the car park where you started (S/E).
