Roche Coche, La Belouse, Escolles, Vanzé from Verzé

Park on Route d'Igé in the dirt car park.

(S/E) Leave the car park towards the Le Bourg signpost, marked in yellow, and turn right onto Route d'Igé. After 50 m, take Chemin du Talenchant on the left, following the stream.

(1) Near the wash house, at the Les Corbetteries signpost, turn left, then cross Route de Cluny and take Chemin de la Fa opposite. At the intersection, continue to the right.

(2) At the next crossroads, go up the path on the right towards Échanault.

(3) At altitude 385, Bois de la Fa, head towards Le Clou opposite. Leave the forest to reach the houses of the hamlet of Échanault.

(4) At the crossroads, turn right onto the road. Cross the Talenchant stream to reach the hamlet of Les Martins.

(5) Turn left onto Route de Cluny and after 100 metres, turn left onto a path towards Le Clou.

(6) At Le Clou, after the first houses, turn left onto Rue du Clou and follow the yellow markings towards Roche Coche. Then, after 150 to 200 metres, towards the wash house, take the path on the left.

(7) At a place called Mont Perret, follow the yellow markings. Pass under the power line and join a PR® (public footpath) to the left.

(8) At Champ de la Boivine, follow the signs to Roche Coche and you will reach the site.

(9) Roche Coche orientation table: enjoy the view over the Val Lamartinien. Then go up to the left until you reach the road. Turn right towards the bend. Continue to the houses of Bruyères Bas. Take the path towards Bruyères Haut. Turn right at the fork.

(10) Take the path on the right after 150 m, but do not go up to the left towards Mont Chevreuil. Descend to the right for a good kilometre towards Chanaud (outskirts of Berzé-la-Ville).

(11) At the signpost, go up to the left and follow the yellow markings towards La Belouse.

(12) Be careful, at the signpost, go down to the right, heading south, and do not go up to the left as indicated by the yellow arrow. Continue downhill for 1.4 km to reach La Belouse.

(13) Turn left and follow the yellow markings towards Escolles.

(14) At the crossroads, go around the embankment on the right and descend towards the houses of Lapalue.

(15) Cross the D85 road carefully. Warning: do not follow the yellow markings which take you along the road with fast-moving traffic. Go between the buildings. Go up to the right between the vineyards. After 100 m, turn left onto the vineyard path. Continue to the Route de Monté.

(16) Go up to the right. At the power line, leave the road and continue on the path to Essart.

(17) Cross the road and continue straight ahead on the marked path for about 1 km to reach Vanzé.

(18) At the road, turn left, then right after 50 m. Walk along the road for 20 m, turn onto the path on the left, then walk along a lake on the left.

(19) At the crossroads, turn left onto Chemin des Grivaux and return to the car park (S/E).
