Park in the car park near the La Bouille ferry landing stage on the left bank of the Seine.
Take the ferry across the Seine as pedestrians or, if you prefer, take your vehicle and park at the ferry exit on the right bank of the Seine in Sahurs. Alternatively, park directly in Sahurs.
(S/E) At the ferry exit, turn left onto the towpath that runs along the Seine, on your left (GR®2). Pass under the high-voltage line, then in front of a shelter marked: Passage d'eau à Caumont.
(1) Then turn right onto the first paved road, Chemin du Billois, and continue straight ahead until you turn left at a right angle. Pass in front of the Château des Étangs, Rue De Bas. Continue straight ahead on this street, pass the hamlet of La Marguerite, until it turns right to reach the D67.
(2) Turn left onto the D67 and take the footpath behind a hedge on the right-hand side of the D67. Pass the Manoir de Villers, then the town hall and the school in Saint-Pierre-de-Manneville.
(3) At the church, turn left to avoid the D67. Continue straight ahead until you reach Chemin Du Roy, then turn right.
(4) After the bend, turn right onto a small grassy path that runs alongside a dry stream. There is a sign at the start of the path; follow this path until you reach a street.
(5) Turn right onto this street and continue until you reach the D67.
(6) Turn left onto the D67, passing in front of the Château de Bellegarde.
(7) Take the path that climbs up to the right through the fields. Pass under the high-voltage power lines.
(8) Then take the first road on the right. It turns at the corner of a building. Continue along the edge of the forest until you reach the crossroads of forest roads.
(9) Cross and continue straight ahead on the Route Forestière de la Commanderie, at the sign for La Forêt Domaniale De Roumare. Turn right at the first junction onto the Route Forestière à la Biche until the next junction of forest roads.
(10) Turn left at the corner of a house onto the Route Forestière de la Scierie until you reach the D351. Cross it, pass the car park and you will immediately reach a forest path.
(11) Leave the D351 by taking thefirst path on the left, follow it to the right as soon as it forks (this small section is not shown on the IGN map). Continue straight ahead to the next crossroads where you can admire the view with the Château Robert le Diable on the hill opposite.
(12) Cross over to descend opposite, continue straight ahead when this path becomes a road and follow it straight ahead until you reach the D51.
(13) Turn left onto the D51, Route De Soquence, and leave it at the first street on the right to admire the Church of Sahurs. Turn around to return to the D51, follow it to the right, then pass in front of Château Soquence and continue to the roundabout.
(14) Turn right at the roundabout onto Chemin de la Croix Blanche, then turn left at the corner of the houses to follow Chemin Des Fossés, which runs alongside another castle. This road joins the RD51.
(15) Take the RD51 on the right towards the Seine.
(16) At the edge of the Seine, turn right and follow this track to the ferry landing stage. Take the opportunity to admire the Soquence and Trémauville castles on the right, which are almost invisible on the way there due to the vegetation.
Take the ferry across the Seine and return to La Bouille (S/E).
