Route on the Causse starting from Tourrens

Park at the entrance to the village of Tourrens, at a place called Villa des Tourrens.

(S/E) Continue south along the road until you reach a T-junction. Leave the road and take the wide path on the right. You will soon reach a four-way junction.

(1) Carry on straight ahead, alternating between short ascents and descents. Pass through the woods to reach a clearing.

(2) Turn right, then right again at the next junction. Enter a woodland, then leave it, and reach the junction with the Route de la Borie de Langle.

(3) Take this road straight ahead to reach the foot of the Croix des Belges.

(4) Take the path on the left and head up to the summit.

(5) Return in the opposite direction to the previous junction.

(4) Take the road on the left until you reach the multi-way junction, marked by a cross and a fountain.

(6) Turn right onto the path and head due south to return to the initial crossroads you passed on the way out.

(1) Turn left and, following the route you took on the way there but in the opposite direction, head back to the Tourrens car park (S/E).

(6) Stone fountain: check carefully that the water is safe to drink.

(3) Croix des Belges: enjoy the magnificent view over the Lot Valley. Take care here: there are cliffs without safety barriers. Do not go too close and hold children’s hands.
