Start: Access to the starting point of the hike by road. Parking at Llanos de la Pez in the municipality of Tejeda.
(S/E) Follow the road to the right to reach the trailhead.
(1) Take path S-51 (OSM hiking trail) towards Refuge Diaz Bertrana. Keep right at the refuge and cross the stream.

(2) Follow the left-hand path up to the crossroads at the Degollada de los Hornos pass.

(3) Take the first path on the left, S-51. Pass the Degollada de los Gatos and continue to the crossroads at a small cairn.
(4) For the more intrepid, climb to the right to the rocky peak of Campanario, otherwise continue to the Mirador del Pico de las Nieves, continuing straight on at the next six junctions. Continue up the seventh to the peak.
(5) ''Don't hesitate to turn right and back to the viewpoint. Follow the road on the left to the first crossroads.
(6) Turn left just at the corner of the crossroads to follow a track that leads straight down into the Barranquillo de la Salvia valley.
(7) At the bottom of the valley, level with two boundary markers, take the left-hand path along the bottom of the valley. Ignore a path on the right, then another on the left, and continue on to a campsite with chalets at Morro de la Salvia.
(8) At the end of the campsite, turn left onto a small road that leads back to the road to Llanos de la Pez. Descend to the left towards the car parks (S/E).
