(S/E) There are virtually no signposts, but the paths are easy to find and follow.
I parked in the first car park, but there is another one about 50 m further along the road on the left. Once parked, follow the path and then take the bridge on the right. A barrier says ‘residents only’, but this applies only to motor vehicles (I didn’t see any on the path, in fact). You then simply continue along this path, which offers beautiful views, without any particular difficulty. Allow about 1 hour 20 minutes for a leisurely walk to point 1.
(1) Take the path that climbs to the left; the ascent is not particularly difficult but you do need to be in reasonably good physical condition.
(2) Turn left to enjoy the view of the village of Ayagaures, then retrace your steps and continue straight on along the path, which continues to climb.
(3) Enjoy the view – it’s splendid. The perfect spot for a well-deserved break. From there, there’s a short climb, then it’s all downhill.
Take the path on the left, which climbs a little further, then continue along the path on the other side of the mountainside.
(4) Turn left and you’ll rejoin the main path. Walk gently back down.
(5) Continue along the main road to the village and the starting point.
