Park to the north-east of the hamlet of Soulages, shortly after a cross on the left along the path.
(S/E) Take the dirt track heading due east. About 300 m from the starting point, leave the track that climbs to the left and continue straight ahead.
(1) Leave the grassy path on the right (this path descends towards the Venzac reservoir) and continue east. The track is no longer marked from this point onwards. A little further on, there is a viewpoint over the Petit Selvet valley and the Venzac reservoir.
(2) Turn left and stay on the main track, continuing north-west, ignoring the track that branches off to the right. You will come to a wayside cross.
(3) Continue straight ahead, leaving a track on your left (if necessary, take this track on the left to return directly to the start of the route). The track then descends straight ahead.
(4) About 750 m after the previous intersection, leave the main track and take the track on the left, which climbs steeply for a few hundred metres before descending gently. Stay on this track, which winds slightly, until the next intersection about 1 km away.
(5) At the small tarmac road, turn right and follow it for about 450 m until you reach a sharp bend.
(6) Turn left onto the track that climbs and continue to the next junction.
(7) The track you are on turns right at a right angle. Leave it and take the grassy track on the far left. Note the calvary on your left. Stay on this path for a little over a kilometre (on the heights, there are views of the Cantal mountains to the north) until you reach the small tarmac road that comes from Soulages and which you took by car to get to the start of the walk. Turn left and return to the starting point (S/E).
