Parking near the water tower or football pitch.
(S/E) Head west along theGR® du Pays de Montbéliard (yellow and red markings).
(1) At the crossroads, leave the path on your right (which will be your return route) and head straight on.
(2) Stop to admire the view stretching from Lomont on the left to the foothills of the Vosges on the right. On a clear day, you can see a large number of wind turbines. Then begin the descent towards Villars-sous-Écot, a stony but very shaded path. Continue straight on to the village centre.
(3) Near the fountain, leave theGR® and turn right onto the D265, heading towards Colombier-Fontaine.
(4) On leaving the village, leave the D265 and take the path on the right. You’ll pass under the motorway, which can provide some welcome shade on a hot day.
(5) Along the path running parallel to the motorway, if the vegetation allows, you can see a large part of the motocross track. Continue to the D123.
(6) Turn right towards Écot and cross over the motorway.
(7) Leave the D123 by taking the track on the right.
(8) Turn left, then continue straight on to rejoin the D123.
(9) Follow it to the right for about twenty metres, then turn right onto Rue de la Courberaie. Ignore the two dead-ends on the left.
(1) Turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
