The route starts at the Can Got forest hut. However, it is no longer possible to park there. There is space for two cars in the bend further up on the left (watch out for the pothole).
(S/E) Return to the forest hut and take the yellow and white marked pathPR®®7, 30 metres below it.
(1) Follow this track to the ford that crosses the Canidell.
(2) Leave the track and take the path, still marked in yellow and white (wooden sign for Tour du Mir). This path climbs steadily through the forest to an altitude of 1,430 metres, where it meets a junction with two wooden signs.
(3) Take the path on the left and follow it until you reach the track (altitude 1480m). Continue along the track for about 300m until you reach the Fontaine de la Tour.
(4) Take the track on the left, turning sharply, and you will reach a shepherd's hut.
Follow the fence until you reach the Col des Basses de Fabert, marked by a wooden sign (altitude 1590m). Here, join the yellow and red marked trail indicating theGRP®® du Tour du Vallespir.
(5) Continue west, ignoring the track, to reach the ridge. Walk a little further to see the surrounding peaks. Continue to the summit of Puig Sec.
(6) Descend to rejoin the trail at a hairpin bend.
(7) Follow the yellow markings, which allow you to cut across the trail a little. Join it a little further down and then follow it to the left for about 350 metres until you see a barrier blocking the passage of another trail on the left. Turn left to reach the Tour du Mir. This tower has been renovated and you can climb to the top for a magnificent view.
(8) Descend from the tower and return to the track. Then turn left onto the yellow and white marked path, which is again thePR®®7.
When you reach Col d'en Cé, the path is less clearly marked as it crosses a field: head straight ahead and follow the markings on the ground on a rock.
Continue like this for about 400m until you reach a watchtower (altitude 1269). Descend just before it on the right. You will reach the hamlet of Lo Mir.
(9) Do not follow the road; turn right towards Prats de Mollo, El Xatart. You will reach a road at the entrance to the hamlet of El Xatart.
(10) Return to the cars by descending for about 500m. Watch out for cars, as although there are no houses, the road is very busy (S/E).

a lovely walk picking chanterelle mushrooms along the way – a real treat
