Parking: Town Hall Square.
Markings in the form of red signs, green signs, red and white markers, unmarked sections.
Please note that some of the paths shown on the IGN map have been filled in.
(S/E) Go around the church, turn left and follow the D40 road towards the cemetery at the edge of the village. Just before the cemetery, take the red-marked path on the right, which climbs gently along the edge of the undergrowth.
(1) At the crossroads, turn left onto the Roman road, marked in red and white. Cross the road and continue straight ahead. Green sign. The path, between two meadows, leads into a wood. At the next intersection, turn right onto the path marked in red and white. The trail leads to the hamlet of Margouleix. At the first building, leave the red and white markings and turn right onto the path that climbs towards the hamlet of Viervalle. Green sign.
(2) The path leads to a road. Do not follow the green sign; take the road to the left for 100 metres. Take the first path on the right, which climbs through the fir trees. At the end of the path, at the T-junction, turn right at the edge of the forest. Continue straight ahead to the hamlet of Chaumeix.
(3) Just before a huge farm building, take the path on the right. This is not a private road. It is not shown in its entirety on the IGN map. It continues through the undergrowth, then along the edge of the woods to the D38 road.
(4) Cross the D38 and continue straight ahead on the path. Green sign again. Continue on the Voie de César.
(5) At the first intersection, on the right-hand hairpin bend, follow the red sign for about a hundred metres, then continue to the right. Red and white markings. The path leads to a road. (Please note that the very small path opposite, marked with a dotted line on the IGN map, has been filled in, so you will need to take a detour via the road or try to cut across the field if you want to avoid the road).
(6) Turn right onto the road going uphill. After 200 metres, take the path downhill on the left.
(7) At the stone cross, take the road opposite that enters Néoux and turns right to take you back to the church and then to the car park (S/E).
