Starting point and access: Breuillet-Village station.
- RER - Line C, on the section between Paris and Dourdan.
Take the exit on the platform side corresponding to the direction from Paris to Dourdan, at the rear of the train (if arriving in the opposite direction, take the underground passage).
Red and white + yellow markings
(S/E) Head south on the D19 towards Arpajon and, immediately after a bus stop, turn right onto Rue de la Gare. Walk past a cultural centre and cross the Orge (old mill and its leat on the right).
Yellow markings
(1) At the end of the bridge, turn right and walk along the river on your right. You will come to a junction with a small gravel road on your right (sign indicating a level crossing).
No markings
(2) Turn left onto a grassy path and climb between two fields. Pass under a power line and turn right with the path. At the end of the bend, turn left at the fork. You will come to a small road; follow it to the left, slightly downhill. Pass a small cemetery.
Red and white + yellow markings
(3) Shortly afterwards, turn right at an acute angle onto a dirt track. Continue straight ahead between the fields, ignoring a path on the left (marker post). At a fork (a few isolated trees), turn left. Walk alongside horse pastures, ignore a path on the left and you will soon come to a crossroads.
Yellow markings
(4) Turn left, pass a boundary marker and descend gently. Ignore a path coming from the left and then a path on the right. Walk alongside a fenced pond on your right and then cross a wet passage. Cross the Renarde stream on a footbridge without a railing and climb up the other side.
(5) Cross a road (the D82), continue on the path opposite and pass at the foot of an antenna. Join a road and follow it as it continues. At the T-junction, turn left onto Ruelle Saint-Paul and quickly reach the entrance to Saint-Sulpice Church. Go around it on the right.
Red and white + yellow + blue markings
(6) At the end of the church, follow Rue du Four à Chaux to the right. At the crossroads, take the second left, Chemin des Graviers. The tarmac soon gives way to a path that climbs between the fields (looking back, there is a beautiful view of Saint-Sulpice Church).
(7) Enter the woods and continue climbing. Continue on flat ground through the woods, ignoring any vague paths branching off to the sides.
(8) At a crossroads, go straight ahead. At the T-junction, turn right and, after about 100 metres, look for a path on the left.
(9) Follow this path to the left and descend slightly. At a crossroads, continue straight ahead and walk along a fence on your right.
Yellow + blue markings
(10) At the next junction, turn left. Follow the cemetery wall on your right and you will soon come to a junction.
No markings
(11) Take Chemin de la Forêt on the left. Pass two forest barriers in succession, cross a lane on the right-hand side and continue on the tarmac road.
Red and white markings
(12) At the T-junction, follow a track on the left. After about 150 m, turn right onto a dirt track and pass through a forest barrier.
Red and white + yellow markings
(13) At the crossroads, take the first path on the right. Wind your way through the woods. Pass a forest barrier, leave the woods and immediately ignore a path on the right. Turn left onto the path.
Red and white + yellow + blue markings
(14) Immediately ignore a path on the right, follow Chemin de la Folie and walk along a fence on your right. Pass through a forest gate and climb gently into a wood. Pass under a footbridge and, a little further on, continue on flat ground. Ignore a path on the right and arrive at a crossroads near the church of Saint-Yon.
No markings
(15) Turn right to reach the church entrance immediately.
(16) Retrace your steps.
Red and white + yellow + blue markings
(15) Turn right (left if you did not make the short detour to the church) and pass under the Porte des Bourdeaux. Continue straight ahead, walk alongside a reservoir on your left and descend slightly.
Red and white + yellow markings
Ignore a path on the left and continue downhill, following a fence on your left. Further down, turn left with the path and then go down a staircase on the right. You will come to a road; follow it to the right. Shortly afterwards, turn left onto Rue de Breux.
(17) Cross a road (D82) and continue straight ahead. Go straight ahead and cross the village of Breux. At the end of the street, first turn right then left to take a path. Climb slightly and then descend. You will come to a small road, follow it to the left and you will immediately come to a crossroads that you took at the very beginning of the hike.
(1) Turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach the level crossing and, on the left, Breuillet-Village station (E).
To return home:
- RER - Line C, towards Dourdan (immediate access) or Paris (take the underground passage).
