Short walk along the paths of the Châtillon-en-Diois vineyards

I suggest you try this lovely route through the vineyards of Châtillon-en-Diois, taking in some beautiful views (notably Pié de Bœuf, Glandasse, Piémard and La Grésière).

Description of the walk

The starting point is the Champ de Foire (except on Friday mornings, when parking is available here).

(S/E) Head south-west along Rue des Fours Chaux, passing the cemetery, then continue along Route de Die.

(1) Keep right onto Chemin des Vignes, pass through a housing estate and continue for a further 200 m.

(2) At the junction, turn left onto the footpath. A little further on, you’ll come to a small road. Carry straight on, then ignore a path on the right and head towards a crossroads.

(3) Continue straight on for just over 100 m until you reach a shed.

(4) Take the path on the right and follow it to the end. Turn left, then right, then left again onto a footpath to climb the small hill.

(5) Continue along the path, heading almost due north, facing the mountain, then cross the small road below, continuing straight ahead uphill until you reach a cross-path.

(6) Follow it to the right until you reach a road.

(7) Follow it to the left and you will come to a fork you passed on the way out.

(2) Continue straight on, following the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey, and you will reach the fairground (S/E).
