Worth a visit

(1) Place de la Liberté: this small square is a peaceful spot in the heart of a dynamic area. It has all the necessary amenities, including a playground for your children. Shade: 3.5/5

(2) Nouveau Bassin: enjoy the coolness of this park. This place is where the Ill river resurfaces, and the basin is closely linked to this city canal. Its setting is perfect for a gentle stroll: well-maintained borders, benches all along the basin and a large lawn. You will also find art installations in the middle of the lawn. Here, contemporary art juxtaposes the gentleness of the surrounding nature.

(3) Parc Salvator: discover the city's old cemetery, which has become Mulhouse's first public park! A flower-filled setting and a must-visit picnic spot in Mulhouse, you can take a break here in the cool shade before continuing your exploration of the city.

(4) Square de la Bourse: the architecture of the square was designed inthe 19th century, modelled on the Rue de Rivoli in Paris. The elegance of this park and its arcades is reminiscent of the industrial era.

(5) Place de la Paix: a place to relax with facilities perfect for a peaceful break. Don't hesitate to visit Saint-Etienne Church, where you can enjoy the cool air.

(E) Parc Steinbach: this place is forever etched in the history of Mulhouse and has a lot to tell you! Built at the end ofthe 19th century, it was originally the mansion of the manufacturer Vetter. After his death, this place was donated to the city. Its garden was transformed into a public park and the mansion itself became the Museum of Fine Arts. Don't forget to fill up your water bottle here. You can also discover a new book thanks to the book box. Feel free to share your own books too! Grab an ice cream in the city centre (a few steps from the park) and then come back to read your new find with a delicious ice cream. Don't miss a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts: grab a sketchbook and let yourself be inspired by the exhibitions. Steinbach Park is a true place of culture and inspiration in Mulhouse, right in the heart of the city centre.
