Route through the heart of the schools in Provin and Bauvin

Starting point at the Provin sports hall. Easy parking available nearby.

(S/E) Set off along Rue Charles Vion (heading east). Turn left onto Rue Henri Catoire.

(1) Leave the road and take the path on the right, Chemin du Fresin.

(2) At the junction, take the dirt track on the left, Voie du Grand Marais. It leads onto a road, Rue de la Halte.

(3) Follow the road to the left (take care). Cross the railway line.

(4) At the ponds on the right, ignore the path on the right. Continue straight ahead.

(5) Further on, at the junction at the start of the wooded area and before crossing over a stream, take the path on the right. Go almost all the way round the wooded area, skirting it on the right. Head north then turn south-west to pass between the woods and the canal.

(6) At the end of the woods, move away from the canal to the left before finding a path on the right to cross the stream.

(7) Cross to the other side and turn left. Further on, rejoin the path you left earlier.

(8) Follow it to the right and further on turn left onto the path leading to the sewage treatment plant.

(9) After the sewage treatment plant, turn onto the path on the right.

(10) Go round the back of the school, then turn left to cross the railway line and rejoin the sports hall (S/E).

Bring a water bottle, cap and sunglasses in hot weather (unshaded section).
