(S) Leave your campsite and head towards the village centre.
(1) In front of the church, turn right and walk past the town hall (supplies available in the village centre). Cross the D12 on the right-hand side and continue straight on along the Route d'Aubrac until you reach a place called Le Coustat.
(2) Turn right onto a path, following the red and white markings. At a T-junction, turn right.
(3) At the next junction, ignore thePR® trail on the right, continue straight ahead on theGR® trail and ignore the trails on the right.
(4) At the intersection, ignore the path on the left, cross a stream and arrive in front of the Pascalet farm.
(5) Turn right to go around the farm on the right and continue on theGR® until you reach a 90° turn.
(6) Head left (south) until you reach a wetland area.
(7) Continue following the red and white markings to the Lodge le Royal, located in a former sanatorium.
(8) Cross the D987 towards Aubrac. At a crossroads, go straight ahead and go around the village of Aubrac before reaching the centre and joining the D987.
(9) Follow the road to the left towards Salgues. Continue along the road until you see an information sign about the Way of St James in Aveyron.
(10) Turn left onto theGR® 65, marked by two large stones. Descend and continue until you reach the Belvezet cross.
(11) Continue on theGR® trail, keeping to the left.
(12) At a fork, keep right and pass at the foot of the Neck de Belvezet (the chimney of an ancient volcano on which the remains of a tower stand). Descend to the hamlet and turn left onto the road.
(13) In the hamlet, turn right. At a crossroads (elevation 1049), continue straight ahead on theGR®. Soon, the path turns south-west. Keep going in this direction, ignore the turnings on the right and descend to the village of Saint-Chély-d'Aubrac on the D19.
(14) Turn left towards the municipal campsite. Pass the technical service buildings to find the campsite entrance at the next crossroads (E).
