Sacrificial Stone of Raddon-et-Chapendu

Coming from the centre of the village of Raddon-et-Chapendu (D6) at the chemist's, head towards Saint-Bresson. 300 metres further on, follow the sign on the right indicating "Pierre aux Sacrifices - Site". Park on the left after the no entry sign.

(S/E) Enter the forest via the path that climbs quite steeply in hairpin bends.

(1) At the third bend (the turning point of the hike), turn right and head towards the Pierre aux Sacrifices.

(2) Continue along the path and climb quite steeply to the left until you reach a large crossroads.

(3) Continue straight ahead. To shorten the route, you can turn left and go directly to point 4. The path descends slightly and, after a small circular loop to the left (not shown on the IGN map), leads to another path. A small plaque attached to a tree indicates stage 13 of the Via Columbani, which connects Luxeuil and Annegray. Turn left and reach a forest road. Turn left and continue to the next crossroads.

(4) Turn right (or left to return to point 3) for about 100 metres and turn left onto the path marked by a sign saying "Variante du Grand Ban 2.2 km".

(5) At the three-way junction, turn left and continue to the end of the hike.

(1) Descend the switchbacks to reach the starting car park (S/E).
