To reach the start, follow the D492 between Étalans and Verrière du Grobois. Take the track on the right at kilometre marker 44 and park at the first picnic table.
(S/E) Take the path heading north-east until you reach a fork. Take a short detour to the left towards some picnic tables and a wildlife park where there are two does. Then rejoin the path and continue.
(1) Turn right before the farm between lines 13 and 18 and walk for about 500 m.
(2) Almost at the top of thesecond climb, turn left onto a grassy path and reach a tarmac road.
(3) Follow this road to the left.
(4) At the junction with two opposing paths, turn right, then right again, and continue along this track to rejoin the tarmac road; follow it to the left for about 350 m.
(5) At the junction with a track, turn right onto it. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the various turn-offs on either side, pass the 90° right-hand bend and reach another turn-off on the left
(6) Turn left after the hill. Pass the hunting lodge and you’ll soon reach a fork.
(7) Turn right to follow the Grande Sommière du Rond-Point. Leave the forest and, after passing between two fields, walk a few metres through the undergrowth to reach a fork.
(8) Turn right. Walk roughly alongside the fields until you reach a fork about 200 m after entering the woods.
(9) Turn left and head back down to the car park (S/E).
