Description of the walk

Park in front of Saliès Town Hall.
An information board for the route is located opposite the town hall.

Yellow markings

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, head towards the church. Walk past it and go down Rue du Coustou until you reach the Stop sign.
Turn sharply left and, at the next junction, head up to the right.
The road becomes a dirt track in front of the dairy farm.
Carry on until you find a footpath on the left.

(1) Take the path through the woodland, then walk across the meadow and past Lendrevié. At the road, head down to the right.
Keep heading south-east. Along the way, ignore two roads branching off to the left and two farm tracks on the right.
You’ll come across a wash house tucked away at a T-junction.

(2) The wash house is on the left; walk round it. The wide track winds a few times, then runs in a straight line to the Chemin des Mondets or the D117.
Follow this departmental road to the left. Pass through Les Mondets and head for the second bend. Look for the yellow markings on the electricity pole and the sign for “La Roussignoulié” on the right.

(3) Leave the D117 and continue along the Chemin des Mondets towards La Roussignoulié. Head straight down towards the Ruisseau de Carrofoul.

(4) Cross it and follow it carefully until you reach the next small bridge.

(5) Cross it and head off towards the grassy track blocked by a barrier. Walk alongside the football pitch.
At the corner of the village hall, turn right and cross Place Charles d’Aragon (car park).

(6) At the D118A, cross the road and take the small lane behind the hedge. Turn immediately left into the next street. Continue straight on until you reach Saliès Town Hall (S/E).

We had to turn back because there were too many processionary caterpillars, which are dangerous for our dogs, but we will do it again in another season as it is very close to Albi.

An easy hike, but the signposting isn’t always very clear. You need to pay close attention at junctions!!! Visiorando is very useful if you’re in any doubt.
