Description of the walk

(2) Continue along this track to the right until you reach the D42; follow it carefully to the right for 200 m until you come to a dirt track.

(3) Turn left onto it and walk uphill beneath the oak trees. Continue along this ascending path until you reach the small road in the hamlet of Verlong. Follow it to the left until you reach the entrance to a pasture.

(4) Go through the gate and take the path leading into the pasture on the right. Carry on due north until you reach the D201.

(5) Turn right onto it and follow it carefully as far as the hamlet of Valayssac.

(6) Leave the D201 and continue straight ahead along the small road for 500 m. At the Trigadino crossroads, you’ll see a cross, followed shortly afterwards by a hairpin bend.

Worth a visit

This route is well worth taking, if only for the panoramic views over the Lot and Truyère valleys and the Monts du Macif Central. A route rich in biodiversity.
Between (7) and (8): take the time to admire the sweeping view over the Lot.
(E) Take the time to admire the château of Entraygues-sur-Truyère, its half-timbered houses and its ‘cantous’ (covered passageways linking the narrow streets), not forgetting the famous Truyère Bridge.
