In Scherwiller, park in the car park next to the Résidence de l'Alumnat. It is accessible via Rue du Giessen (90 spaces).
(S/E) From the car park, head towards Rue de la Gare and follow it to the left. Turn into thefirst street on the left, then follow the Aubach stream.
(1) At the junction with Rue de Dambach, turn left and follow this street. Pass in front of Scherwiller Town Hall and continue along the Aubach stream.
(2) When you reach the junction with Rue de l'Ortenbourg (D35), turn left, then turn right into Rue de Dieffenthal and follow it for a few dozen metres before turning left into Rue du Taennelkreuz. Follow this road to the Taennelkreuz Chapel.
(3) From the chapel, follow the path on the left (marked with a blue cross) which climbs through the vineyards, turning right towards the Bois de Rittersberg.
(4) Before entering the woods, turn onto the path that branches off to the left between the edge of the woods and the vineyards and continue to the Auberge de la Huhnelmuhle.
(5) At the inn, follow the Route du Sel on the right for about 100 metres, then take theGR®5(marked with a red rectangle) which branches off to the left and joins the D35 further on.
(6) Do not cross the D35 but follow the cycle path that branches off slightly to the right and passes under the bridge. After the bridge, continue along the path on the right.
(7) After the Borne Milliaire, continue straight ahead and then take the path that branches off to the left and joins Scherwiller.
(8) At the junction with the Vieux Chemin de Châtenois, continue straight ahead to reach Rue des Chevaliers, which you follow to the right. After Scherwiller Town Hall, keep left until you reach the junction you passed on the way there.
(1) Then turn right, follow the Ruisseau de l'Aubach stream and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
