Park in the car park opposite Dieffenthal church, Rue des Châteaux
(S/E). Take Rue des Châteaux to the botanical garden on the right, cross it and, a few dozen metres further on, you will find the path that leads to the Rocher de Celtes.
(1) Take the path marked with a yellow ring, which branches off to the right, to the site of the Wolfskirche Rocks. Continue to the crossroads with a variant ofthe GR®5marked with a red and white rectangle.
(2) Turn right towards the west until you reach the Route Forestière des Châteaux. Cross the road and turn left to find theGR®5trail marked with a red rectangle.
(3) Take theGR®5, which runs along the forest road on the right. It then leaves the road and continues southwards to Ortenbourg Castle. Visit the well-maintained ruins.
(4) Leave the castle and head to Ramstein, a little further down, which is not open to visitors, and walk around it.
(5) Head north to rejoin theGR®5, Red Rectangle on the left, and descend to the Route du Sel. At the crossroads, ignore the Red Disc marked trail and stay left on theGR®5which, after a few bends, reaches the tarmac road.
(6) Follow the road to the left until you reach the Auberge de la Hunnelmühle
(7) Leave the road and take the path on the left just after the cross. The path, marked with a yellow disc, heads north-east into the forest.
(8) When you leave the forest, turn left and walk up the path for a few dozen metres, then turn right to stay on the edge of the forest, walking alongside the vineyards. At the end of the path, cross the path marked with a blue cross, enter the forest and you will soon find a path marked with a red triangle.
(9) Turn right, rejoin the vineyards after about 300 metres, then turn left heading north-northeast until you reach a crossroads near Differthal, close to a mound surrounded by vineyards.
(10) Turn right at the next crossroads and you will find a small chapel or calvary marked with the year "1806" on your left. Retrace your steps and continue straight ahead until you reach the tarmac road. Turn left, pass another calvary marked "1822", turn left again and continue north-northeast. Enter Diffenthal, continue straight ahead, passing in front of the town hall.
(11) A few dozen metres after the town hall, before the intersection, take Impasse Kappelbuehl and go up to the church and car park (S/E).
