Park on Rue de Varanval: there is plenty of street parking available.
(S/E) Cross Place de Tilleuls diagonally, then head towards the pedestrian crossing. Cross the road to join Rue des Écoliers. At the first junction, turn right onto Rue du Mont Clergé, go straight on at the crossroads and continue along Chemin du Mont Clergé.
(1) At the large oak tree, carry on straight ahead. Cross the D 98 at the pedestrian crossing, then turn right towards the wayside cross. Continue along the Chemin rural du Lainemont on your right, which runs alongside the Mont d’Huette.
After passing Le Carmel, cross the road carefully and continue along the tarmac cycle path in front of you. Pass under the power lines, turn right at the edge of the woods and walk to the water retention basin, which will be on your left,
(2) At this point, turn right until you reach the Route du Meux (D 98).
(3) Cross the road carefully and take the path opposite. Continue straight on until you reach the T-junction at Les Champarts.
(4) Turn right, pass under the power lines again and, once you reach the three-way junction, veer to the right to follow the edge of the Mont Hart woodland until you reach the horse pastures.
(5) At the large oak tree, turn left onto Ruelle de l’Église between the pastures and the houses. Continue to Rue de l’Archerie.
(6) Turn right towards the church. Stop in front of Saint-Nicolas Church, a listed historic monument with its remarkable stained-glass windows. Then continue straight on to the car park on Rue de Varanval (S/E).
Hello, it’s a bit tricky to find your way at the start. I think it’s worth pointing out that the starting point is on the left-hand side of the cul-de-sac, a little further down, for people who aren’t using a compass and are just going for a family walk.
