The Hersin ponds

Departure from Parc Germinal, Rue Émile Zola

(S/E) Cross the street, take Rue d'Houdain, then follow the first path on the left to pass under the D301, and continue straight ahead at the two intersections until the next crossroads.

(1) At the T-junction, go straight ahead, walk along the Bois de Verdrel on your right, turn left and arrive at the D65.

(2) Follow it to the right for a few metres, then continue to the right on a path. At the end, first turn left then right onto the D65.

(3) Leave the road, continue along the path, then take the second path on the right, then left and follow the pond on your right.

(4) Turn left, then first turn right then left and continue to a crossroads.

(5) Turn right, continue straight ahead and, at the end, take a sharp left turn before continuing straight ahead to the roundabout.

(6) Take the first street on the left, then immediately turn right. Cross the bridge over the D301 and, shortly afterwards, you will come to a path on the right.

(7) Turn sharply onto this path, return to the D301 and turn left to follow it parallel to the road.

(8) Turn left onto Rue des Rossignols, cross the street and continue straight ahead until you reach Rue Arthur Lamendin.

(9) Turn left, then take the third path on the right before heading straight ahead to the slag heap on the right.

(10) Take this climb, then the second intersection on the right. At the Y, keep right, then right again and turn left onto the road to Rue Émile Basly.

(11) Turn left and take the path on the right that runs alongside Rue du Champ d'Argent before continuing straight ahead to the junction with Rue de l'Égalité.

(12) Go straight ahead, cross Jardin Buitez, pass behind the town hall and cross Rue Jean Jaurès. Continue straight ahead on Rue Carre. Then turn left onto Rue Victor Hugo.

(13) Turn right, then take the second left. At the roundabout, take the first right and turn left onto Rue Romain Rolland.

(14) First turn left then right, then take Rue Joliot Curie on the left until you reach a path on the left, and follow it to a staircase.

(15) At the bottom of the stairs, turn right onto Rue Émile Zola and return to the starting point (S/E).
