Park in the car park at Parc Germinal in Hersin-Coupigny.
(S/E) Turn right onto Rue d'Houdain.
(1) Turn left, crossing the road carefully, and enter the small pedestrian tunnel that passes under the A21 motorway. As soon as you emerge from the tunnel, the landscape changes radically and the contrast with the city is striking. Ignore the path on the left and continue straight on for about 300 m.
(2) Do not take the path directly in front of you – that will be your return route – but turn left instead. Further on, do not enter the street but take the path on the right which runs along the back of the houses’ gardens.
(3) At the junction marked by the sign “Tour des Trinquettes 3.1km”, turn right onto a superb little undulating path, a veritable tunnel of greenery.
(2) Go straight on and pass under the motorway again.
(1) Follow Rue d'Houdain to the right and head for the car park (S/E).
