Park along the D9, in the car park 100 m above the bridge over the Agly.
(S/E) Take the path that branches off to the right, on the other side of the road. This small road with poor surface climbs up to the ridge, alternating views of Ansignan and Lake Caramany as it winds its way up.
(1) When you reach the first plateau, where vineyards once reigned supreme, continue left to the Las Colombinos dolmen.
(2) The dolmen is on the left of the path under the holm oaks. A hundred metres after the megalith, turn right and follow the path to the next left turn.
(3) Take the path in front of you and turn 180° to the right to descend into the valley via a beautiful shaded path. The stone walls lining the path are evidence of a landscape shaped by man but now abandoned. Leave a path on your right and continue to the stream.
(4) Ford the stream and follow the path up towards Trilla, turning right at the second fork. This part of the circuit has a Breton landscape feel, with rocks and granite boulders, which is quite unexpected at this latitude, but where typical Mediterranean vegetation grows.
(5) Once you reach the village of Trilla, you can continue climbing to the viewpoint overlooking the village. Alternatively, head to the church and turn right immediately. The first path on the right will take you back to the vineyards. Leave theGRP® Tour des Fenouillèdes (yellow and red markings) and turn left between a dry stone wall and the vineyards.
(6) Before rejoining the RD 9b, turn right onto a path that runs alongside the vineyards and continue for 200 m on the small road. After the first bend to the right, leave this road and take the path that branches off to the left. Follow it for about 300 m until you reach the Las Apostados dolmen.
(7) The dolmen overlooks the path by a few metres. You can see some remains of the tumulus that covered the megalith.
To leave the site, ignore the path and, with your back to the dolmen, take the track that branches off to the left towards the vineyards, through scrubland and almond tree plantations, until you reach a path. If the gate is closed, remember to close it behind you. After a few metres to the left, take the path that branches off to the right into the vineyards.
(8) Ignore the path that branches off to the right between the vineyards and follow the trail that runs along the stone wall to the end of the vineyard. It descends into the valley, and after a slightly steep passage along a ruin, you will find the path (GRP®) that will take you to the departmental road after a pleasant descent down the slopes of the steep-sided valley of Rec de la Llèbre. Return to the starting point by turning right and following the RD 9b for about 500 metres (S/E).
