Climb between points 4 and 5

Description of the walk

Prendre la direction d'Hernani par l'autoroute AP-1 puis AP-15 jusqu'à la sortie 166. Prendre la direction de Goizueta par la GI-3410. Après avoir longé une zone industrielle, à la sortie de la ville, tourner à gauche vers le restaurant Irubide. Se garer sur les places le long de la petite route.

(S/E) Prendre la route qui part vers le Nord-Est. Elle est d'abord goudronnée puis bétonnée.

(1) Suivre le chemin gravillonné qui part à droite dans la forêt dans le virage et qui longe plus loin le cours de l'Epele.

(2) Prendre à droite en montée pour deux boucles successives jusqu'à un croisement en T.

(3) Virer à gauche pour monter en pente douce au col en direction du sommet de l'Igorin.

(4) Prendre à droite pour longer la crête et ses palombières pour terminer, en bas de la ligne, le long d'une zone boisée jusqu'à une piste carrossable.

(5) Suivre la piste à gauche. Elle fait une boucle à droite pour retrouver une piste plus large qui devient bétonnée et se poursuit vers l'Ouest puis le Nord-Ouest.

(6) Juste avant un pylône électrique, prendre à droite le sentier qui retourne au parking (S/E).

Nice hike. We did it in August when it was 28°C. The climb up through the cool forest was very pleasant. It was hot and dry, but it was a bit slippery under the trees, so the hiking poles came in handy. Other than that, there were no particular difficulties.
