The two slag heaps from Oignies

Start of the 9-9bis mining site, Rue Alain Bashung.

(S/E) Leave the car park with the mining centre behind you, then take the second path on the left and after 50 m turn right. Continue straight on until the junction after the ditch.

(1) Turn left twice, then take the first right and continue straight on until you reach a fork.

(2) Turn right, at the end take the path on the right, then do the same at the next fork. Immediately turn left and continue straight on. Then take the second left and continue straight on for four junctions.

(3) At the fifth junction, continue straight ahead, then take the first left. At the Y-junction, keep right to go round the woods.

(4) At the fork after the woods, turn right and return to the junction you passed on the way there.

(3) Turn left, keep to the right, then continue straight ahead.

(5) Turn right three times, then keep to the left, then turn right to cross the bridge and first turn left then right.

(6) Turn right onto the wider path, then follow the first track on the left. Take a sharp left-hand bend and continue straight on until you reach a fork.

(7) Continue to the right to reach the summit of Terril 110.

(8) Turn back to return to the fork you passed earlier.

(7) Turn right and stay on the left-hand path, then take the fifth path on the right and continue straight ahead.

(9) At the junction, turn right and ignore four crossroads. Walk round the pond to the junction on the opposite bank.

(10) Turn right, at the end turn right again, then follow the path to the left and return to the starting point (S/E).
