Start the Cascades circular route at Valmorel Station, on the forest track behind the tennis courts in the hamlet of Le Mottet, at an altitude of 1,400 metres.
(S/E) Follow the track southwards. Just before crossing the Morel, leave the track and continue to the right, following the river on your left. Join the track and follow it to the right for a few dozen metres until you reach a hairpin bend to the right.
(1) Leave the track and take a path on the left that starts in the forest. Cross the Planchamp stream and reach a footbridge.
(2) Take the footbridge to cross the Morel. Go uphill and, at an intersection, turn right, pass a chalet and join a track. Be careful, mountain bikes may be passing.
(3) Follow the track to the right and pass the start of the Prarion ski lift. Immediately afterwards, take a path on the left. The path climbs and winds through a half-forest, half-alpine pasture environment, parallel to the ski lift line.
(4) After a short climb up some steps, continue south-west on a hillside path. You will reach a fork near the Morel waterfall.
(5) Turn left and walk past the foot of the waterfall. A little further on, you will reach the Péchet waterfall.
(6) Continue along the path and cross a track. Continue through the scrubland, passing under the Morel chairlift line and then the Morel ski lift line. Climb the steep switchbacks to reach a track. Follow the track to the right until you reach the upper station of the Altispace chairlift.
(7) Begin a steep descent on the right, keeping the chairlift line on your left. Descend the path known as the "51 turns" and rejoin the Planchamp stream footbridge you passed on the way up.
(2) Turn right and cross the forest again to return to the starting point (S/E).
