To get to the start, go to the Haute Bruche school complex, then to the football pitch located above it on Rue des Grives. Park in the car park.
(S/E) Head towards the road, go up it to the left for about 40 metres, then turn right into Rue des Hières.
(1) At the crossroads, turn left onto Rue des Oies. Continue to the dirt track and go straight on to the Barembach vineyard, where you will have your first view of the village. Continue to the intersection at the bottom of the hill.
(2) Turn right and continue downhill to reach thefirst intersection in the village. Turn left, go up Rue Principale, passing in front of the forest house, and arrive in front of a large esplanade.
(3) Take the dirt track on the far right. At the bend, there is a view of the village, the Donon, the quarry and the Rocher de Mutzig. Continue to the next crossroads.
(4) Continue downhill to the right until you reach the bottom of the hill.
(5) Head left. At the next intersection, turn left again and go up the road and then the track to reach the Croix Walter: viewpoint over Barembach.
(6) Continue along this track towards the west and descend towards Schirmeck Castle, keeping to the right. At the castle, there is a viewpoint over Schirmeck and the Donon. Leave the castle and head east, staying on the upper path. At the end of the path, keep left and continue downhill towards the houses. At the next intersection, turn left onto Rue du Douar towards the cemetery.
(7) Before the bridge, turn right onto Rue des Champs de la Ville. At the end of the street, turn right. At the garage, turn left to go around the cemetery and come out onto Route de Steinbach. Follow this road to the left, then turn right towards the football field where you will find the car park (S/E).
