Start opposite the church in Relanges, next to the lower wash house.
(S/E) Walk past the church and cemetery on your right (GR®7), climbing slightly towards the centre of the village.
(1) After about 250m, leave theGR®7at the "road narrows" sign and turn left onto a path marked with a yellow circle (Rue du 27 août 1944). Enter the forest and head north-northwest (path not shown on the IGN map). You will come to a track; follow it to the right for a few metres.
(2) At the crossroads of four paths, including theGR®7, turn left opposite (GR®7), following the sign for Bonneval. The route is also marked with a yellow circle.
(3) Reach La Roche des Apôtres (information panel) and continue along the same path.
(4) At the crossroads, take the path on the right (GR®7, yellow circle) which leads to the ruins of the Priory of Bonneval and a more recent chapel (information panel).
(5) Leave theGR®7by taking the path marked with a yellow circle to the left of the recent chapel (behind the information panel).
(6) Arrive at the ancient Celtic camp, also known as an "oppidum". An information panel is located about 30 metres to the left of the entrance on a wide path.
Follow the circular route through the camp marked by blue arrows. Blue dots numbered on trees indicate points of interest.
(7) Leave the camp via the path marked with a yellow circle (wide forest road). You will find the information panel mentioned above about 30 metres to the left as you leave the camp. Continue along this path, following the yellow circle.
(8) At the crossroads where there is a hut, leave the path marked with a yellow circle on the right and then turn left onto a wide unmarked path.
(9) At the crossroads, turn left, go through the red and white metal barrier and continue straight ahead.
(10) Return to the path marked with a yellow circle. Continue straight ahead and follow the path to the next crossroads.
(11) Leave the path that descends to the right and continue straight ahead, following the path marked with a yellow circle. You will reach a crossroads with four paths.
(2) Follow the path opposite, marked with a yellow circle,GR®7also marked with a yellow circle. Descend to the village church. Pass in front of the upper wash house, then reach the church at the starting point.
(S/E) Follow theGR®7towards Lichecourt, with your back to the lower wash house. Cross the D164 departmental road. TheGR®7follows the Lichecourt road (which is not very busy). Pass two forest houses and reach the entrance to Lichecourt Castle.
(12) Leave the château on your right and continue to the four-way crossroads.
(13) Turn left, staying on theGR®7(at the "give way" road sign). After crossing the meadows, the path enters the forest.
(14) At the edge of the forest, leave theGR®7by turning left onto a small, unmarked tarmac road. Follow this path to a crossroads where you will find a yellow metal post marked with the number 301.
(15) Turn right, passing in front of this sign. Walk through a small forest. At the edge of the forest, the path ends.
(16) Turn left and walk along the edge of the woods, bordering the field, for about 200 metres.
(17) You will arrive at the ruins of the Barcan Hermitage (information sign). Turn back to return to the yellow post marked 301.
(15) Pass the post and continue straight ahead. (This section of the path is sometimes muddy).
(18) At the crossroads, take the wide path on the right and at the next crossroads, turn left onto a large forest track (Tranchée du Saule).
When you reach the crossroads with the Route de Lichecourt (GR®7), turn right towards Relanges and follow theGR®7. Cross the D164 departmental road and head for the church at the lower wash house (S/E).
