In Saint-Victor-la-Rivière, park below the D5, in front of the town hall.

(S/E) Go back up the D5 and cross it. Climb up towards the church. Go around it on the left and walk along the cemetery on your right. At the crossroads with a cross, continue on the road to the left.
At the fork, turn left towards Les Hameaux (yellow signs). At the next fork, keep left and follow the signs for La Croix. At the crossroads with a small cross, continue straight ahead towards Pré de Font. Ignore the path on the right further on.
(1) Immediately afterwards, turn right towards Les Prés. Pass through the undergrowth. Cross the Ruisseau de Malvoissière stream via a footbridge at a left-hand bend in the path. Continue uphill through the undergrowth. At the edge of the woods, take a sharp right-hand turn. (Further on, in the left-hand bend, the path marked on the map that goes straight ahead does not exist.)
(2) Join a path at a bend and continue straight ahead. Ignore a path on the right. At the next intersection, turn right towards Le Verdier.
(3) On the road at the entrance to the hamlet, continue straight ahead in the direction of a signpost. Between a beautiful thatched cottage and an electrical transformer, turn right and ignore the path on the right. At a signpost, ignore a path on the right (the layout differs from the map at this point). Cross the Ruisseau de Malvoissière stream again and head uphill.
(4) At the crossroads, turn left towards La Grande Allée. At the next intersection, turn left (signpost). The path turns right.
(5) Just after a signpost, ignore a path on the left. At the crossroads, turn left onto Grande Allée towards Buron du Verdier. Cross the road and continue straight ahead.
(6) You will come to theGR®30(red and white markings) and turn right towards Les Prés de la Forêt. Cross a path at the signpost. You will soon come to another path after a left turn and continue to the right (signpost).
(7) Cross the Courbanges stream via a bridge. On the road, continue straight ahead at the signpost.
(8) On the left side of the hamlet of Courbanges, take the second path on the left towards the Cascades du Cheix. At the directional signs (on either side of the stream), cross the stream to the right. On the other side, follow the road to the right. At the intersection, walk a few metres along the road to the left and look for a path on the right. Follow it downhill for a few metres to discover the Cascade du Cheix waterfall.
(9) Go back up the road, reach the crossroads on the left and continue left towards Courbanges. At the intersection (note the information sign about Courbanges), continue straight ahead towards La Bruyère de Saint-Victor, leaving the GR®. At the fork just after, at a fountain, continue straight ahead.
(10) At a fork with a path, turn left to leave the hamlet (yellow disc markings). Cross the Courbanges stream again and pass a stone cross.
(11) Further on, take a path on the left towards Gouzainde. The path approaches the Courbanges stream and then runs more or less alongside it. Cross a few tributary streams.
(12) At the intersection, turn left towards Pic Chauvet. Shortly afterwards, turn right towards Jassat. The path passes a spring catchment and then runs alongside the stream that flows from it.
(13) In the hamlet of Jassat, you will come to a dry fountain and turn right towards L'Argelier. Shortly afterwards, in the left-hand bend, take the path on the right. Further on, ignore the path on the left that leads to Château de Murol.
(14) Turn right and ignore the path that branches off to the left. (Further on, the path that branches off to the left on the map does not exist in reality.) Further up, you will pass a stone cross, the Croix de Pradiaux.
(15) Further on, at the crossroads with a small stone cross, turn right to return to the cemetery of Saint-Victor-la-Rivière. Return to the town hall car park (S/E) by retracing your steps.
