A short, quick walk around the tiny Cordon ski area and its magnificent views.

Description of the walk

From the entrance to Cordon, follow the ski area to reach a car park which marks the end of the tarmac road. Please note that the rear of the car park belongs to the restaurant.

(S/E) Head up the track that runs alongside the road. It ends with a right-hand bend, leading to the top station of the ski lift,

(1) Cross the route of the two L’Herney ski lifts, then the Fieux ski lift at their top stations.
Start the descent opposite to reach the junction with theGRP® Tour du Pays du Mont-Blanc trail.

(2) Turn right here and you’ll immediately come to another junction.

(3) Leave theGRP® and turn right onto the path leading downhill. Cross the Fieux ski lift and then the L’Hermey ski lifts to return to the ski lift car park (S/E).

A steep climb up a stony path, and a steep descent through the woodland. Lots of tree roots… walking sticks are a good idea to avoid slipping.
A pleasant walk with lovely views over the village of Cordon, the valley beyond Sallanches and Mont Blanc!
