The Spullersee circular walk starting from Klösterle

The route involves climbing up to the lake and walking round it, with the option of continuing on to the Ravensburger Hütte (where food is available). The path climbs steeply through the forest, passing under a tarmac road: just after this, it emerges and the climb resumes immediately to the right, quite steeply. The slope levels out afterwards. As you approach the lake, after passing a fence, you’ll come to a farm: watch out for the herd of cows – there may be a young bull. Once you reach the lake, you can either take the track on the right and continue to the mountain hut, or return via the other side: there are several steep sections, but they’re safe.

Description of the walk

The route starts from the centre of Klosterle, almost opposite the bakery. The path climbs steeply through the forest, passing under a tarmac road: just after this, it emerges and the climb resumes immediately to the right, quite steeply. The slope levels out afterwards. As you approach the lake, after passing a fence, you come to a farm: watch out for the herd of cows – there may be a young bull. Once at the lake, you can either take the track to the right and continue to the mountain hut, or return via the other side: there are several steep but safe sections.
