Park in front of Saint-Sébastien Chapel (military cemetery).
Yellow rectangle and diamond markings
(S/E) Leave the military cemetery on your left and head north on the carriage road (towards the cycle path) at the start until you reach the Ramstein farm, then continue for about 100 metres on a tarmac cycle path.
(1) Turn right. Continue tothe second pathon the left.
(2) Take the path on the left, which quickly leads into the woods. Then walk leisurely along the forest road to the bottom of the Ravin du Loup.
(3) At the crossroads, turn left and you will reach the source of the stream, which flows over a small waterfall onto pink sandstone rocks.
(4) Begin a steep climb, which can be slippery in wet weather. Pass above the waterfall and join a wider path that branches off to the left.
The path continues to climb until it reaches a junction just before a road.
(5) Continue along the road to the left for about 150 metres. See the Bavarian tomb from 1870-1871: below, to the right of the road.
No markings
(6) Caution: From here on, the path is less well maintained and there may be obstacles (fallen trees) along the way, or very small streams to cross (muddy).
Return along the road to the junction at the start of the forest road you just came along.
(5) Take the path on the right, skirting a military site marked by numerous steel posts planted in the ground (anti-tank barriers).
Continue along the ridge and begin to descend. About a hundred metres further on, turn right at the fork onto the path that descends towards the south-west. Bitche and the citadel are visible from the heights.
Caution: fairly steep descent, leaves on the ground, potentially slippery.
Return to the initial crossroads at Ramstein farm.
(1) Turn right and follow the same route as on the way up to return to the car park at the start of the walk at the Saint-Sébastien Chapel (S/E).

Be sure to follow the markings (yellow diamond).
