Le Pré du Parc at Lac du ValJoly (mountain biking)

Park in the car parks at the Val Joly water sports centre.

(S/E) Head left towards the water sports centre, opposite the resort centre, take the footbridge and pass the water sports centre towards La Héronnière (group accommodation centre), then follow the paved path up to the Val-Joly road, D133, using the cycle path shared with pedestrians. You will come to a fork in the road.

(1) Cross at the designated crossing and head right towards the campsite. Before reaching a copse, turn left onto a simple dirt track that goes around the campsite on the right and goes up towards a farm. Be careful at the back of this farm, as at certain times a gate is sometimes closed to keep the cows in. Make sure you close it behind you and continue along the main path. After the farm, follow the^first straight stony path on the right to the edge of a wood.

(2) At the junction of various routes, turn right (Chemin de la Fausse-Terre). At the intersection with Rue de Beumont, continue straight ahead on Chemin de Beumont and descend to a blockhouse.

(3) Continue to the right and go back up into the woods. You are now entering a private area, so please stay on the path. At the top, the path turns left onto a wide lane that slopes gently downwards. At the barrier, you leave the private area, continue left on the main path and arrive at a fork.

(4) Before the houses, turn right onto a narrow path with a post preventing motorised traffic. Chemin Baptiste widens and heads left towards a few isolated houses, leading to a wide road (D963, Rue Salengro).

(5) Cross carefully and walk up towards the roundabout along the side of the road. Continue straight ahead towards Liessies. In the bend, leave the D963 at the cemetery and its car park and take the small road, Chemin de la Perrière, through the bocage. Continue to the greenway.

(6) Take it on the left for a relatively short stretch to Liessies.

(7) Leave the greenway and turn left (D133, Rue Clémenceau). At the end, turn left onto the D963 (Rue du Maréchal Foch) to reach the village centre, near the church.

(8) Continue left onto Rue Roger Salengro, cross the bridge over the Helpe Majeure and take the first street on the right (Rue de l'Helpe). Continue left at the mill and its bridge (Rue des Beaux Monts), then left at the three-way junction at No. 19. Then continue straight ahead on the street that goes uphill until you reach a three-way junction (Route du Val Joly, D133). Cross carefully and continue straight ahead. At the three-way junction with a large blue stone oratory, turn left onto Chemin des Wattinettes and continue straight ahead until you reach the crossroads you passed on the way there.

(4) Return to the starting point by retracing your steps (S/E).
