Park in the small car park next to the priory.
(S/E) Walk downhill for a few metres along Place André Blanchard towards the Bohin factory, then turn left into Rue des Baquets. Follow the street up towards the cemetery until you reach the D930.
(1) Cross the road carefully and take the path opposite, straight ahead, through the fields. Follow its curve and cross the Finard stream, then reach the hamlet of Fontaine. Turn right onto a small tarmac road and pass through the cluster of houses.
(2) On leaving the hamlet, turn sharply right onto a good path heading south-east, still through the fields. After a bend to the left followed by another to the right, cross the Finard again and continue until you reach the D930 once more.
(3) Cross the road – taking care, as always – and carry on straight ahead. Pass through Les Bouviers, then follow the path which goes past a few houses and crosses the Risle.
(4) Reach a very narrow tarmac road and turn right onto it. Pass under the railway line (narrow passage) and, immediately afterwards, turn left onto the path that runs alongside the railway line before veering off it and heading south-east again. Pass close to the private Lentil manor house and arrive at a T-junction.
(5) Head left onto the path that leads back towards the railway line. Do not take the bridge that crosses over it; instead, just before it, turn right and follow the path running parallel to the track (a good path). After 300 metres, leave the railway line and turn right onto a good path heading south through the fields. Enter the wooded area, following the path until you reach a junction.
(6) Continue straight on along the lovely path at the edge of the Forêt de l’Aigle until you reach the D926.
(7) Follow the D926 to the right for about 700 metres.
(This section isn’t the most pleasant as the road is busy. You need to be careful, especially with children, but the verge is wide).
Then turn right onto the D293 (a quiet little road, mainly used by a few tractors). Continue to the hamlet of Belzaises, where you turn left for just a few metres.
(8) Look out for a lovely path that branches off to the right from the road, nestled between two hedges, and follow it north-west until you reach a crossroads.
(9) Turn left onto a wide path. Cross the first small tarmac road, then reach a second one where you turn right. Almost immediately, you’ll spot the Jarrier dolmen on your left, situated on private land. Continue to the junction with the D293.
(10) At this junction, turn left – either by following the road or, more pleasantly, by finding the path that runs alongside the road to the right, just a few metres away. Look out for the railway line to your right.
When you see a tunnel beneath the railway line, follow the path to the right, which passes through two tunnels, the second of which is under the railway line. You’ll reach a wide path on the other side of the railway line; turn right here. From there, it’s an easy walk back to the starting point (S/E).
