(S/E) From the car park at Les Genettes town hall, take the road to the right of the town hall. At the start of this road, you will find a picnic table and a decorative circular millstone on the left, and a sign for "Les Fossés Le Roy", ditches dug in the 12th century by the Duke of Normandy and King of England to mark the border with the Kingdom of France. Continue along this country road.
(1) You will see signs for La Huloterie and Le Creux de l'Ours on your way and numerous ponds on your right.
(2) After passing the place called Creux de L'Ours, leave the country road and take a path that climbs up to your left with the sign for house number 111. As you climb, you will see an impressive depression on your left and a little further on, sheep on your right on the grounds of a house with a glass roof below.
(3) Towards the end of the path, you have the choice of going up to the left or continuing straight ahead. Continue straight ahead (track). The path finally continues downhill, lined with tall trees and, on the left, a herd of goats. You will arrive at a place called Les Barres and a road. Continue to the left, then take the first path on the left that goes uphill, with house number 125 on your left.
(4) The trail crosses the D930 departmental road and continues along a narrow path that climbs up surrounded by trees, then crosses the small residential road at La Heurtauderie and continues to the left of house number 132. You are now in a more rural setting, on flat ground with an unobstructed view. Enter the forest.
(5) At the next crossroads, take the path on the left to cross the D930 again towards the road known as Calvaire, as you will pass a cross. Follow the sign for D298 Les Genettes, a straight road through the forest.
(6) Turn left at the first street; you can't miss it, as there are a bunch of postboxes and a sign for a bed and breakfast. Enter the hamlet of La Viellerie, where the street turns into a path lined with fields with donkeys and Percheron horses. It has an intimate atmosphere. At the end of the gently sloping path, you will return to the road you started on at La Huloterie.
(1) Turn right and return to the car park at Les Genettes town hall (S/E).
