Description of the walk

Park at Arc-sur-Tille Town Hall.

(S/E) With your back to the town hall, walk past the fire station. Follow this street to the church. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead, passing the watermill. Cross first one, then a second bridge.

(1) Turn right onto a wide track. Follow the River Tille on your right, to the left of the cultivated fields. Along the way you’ll come across a remarkable tree that’s several hundred years old.

(2). Carry on to a junction with a small road. Turn right and cross the Tille via the footbridge. Continue to the junction in the village. Turn right to take the pedestrian crossing, then carry on straight ahead along Rue de la Cras.
Pass two speed bumps.

(3) At the junction, turn left into Rue de l’Aige au Carabin; at the end, at the T-junction, turn right. Continue to the roundabout, and go straight ahead, passing the sports hall and then the school. Finally, reach the Town Hall car park (S/E).

An easy, well-marked walk along the riverbank. The section through the town is less interesting.

A short, very easy walk, but not particularly interesting
We didn’t spot the notable tree...

We’ve just been on this family outing with our children, aged 12, 10 and 6. Everyone enjoyed the walk!
Our youngest did it by bike. Bikes aren’t allowed on the boardwalks, but as she’s a child and it wasn’t too busy...
We came across a wedding couple having their photos taken on the boardwalk. A lovely spot. We’ll definitely do it again.
It’s lime blossom season and the scent accompanied us the whole way.
No trouble finding your way – it’s very well signposted.
