To access this route, take the D977 between Sedan and Le Chêne. Between Chemery and Tannay, take the D230 on the left towards "Le Mont-Dieu". At this crossroads, you will see the Molières forest house on your right and the monument in honour of the 91st Infantry Regiment on your left. Follow this road for 600 metres, then, after the right-hand bend, park on the left in the car park.
(S/E) With your back to the road, at the far end of the car park, take a very small path on the left which will take you to the Chartreuse forest road.
Take this path on the right and stay on it until the end. You will come to a crossroads where it joins theGR®14marked in white and red.
(1) Take this path on the left, which runs alongside the forest road. After the bend, continue straight ahead, following path 27, marked in yellow. Stay on theGR®14. Join the Roman road at the crossroads between the D30 and the D230.
(2) Turn right onto the D230, which is a very small road. As you drive along, admire the Château de la Barbière with its chapel on your right and, further down on your right, the Étang de la Barbière.
Continue along the D230, passing the La Corrérie barn, which is part of the Chartreuse, giving you an idea of the size of the Mont-Dieu monastery.
Continue on the D230 until you reach a four-way crossroads.
(3) Turn right onto the D230A. You will reach a crossroads opposite the "Chartreuse du Mont-Dieu" monastery.
(4) Continue along the path on the right and after a hundred metres, turn left to follow the Parc de la Chartreuse. The path through the Saint-Bernard woods climbs quite steeply. At the crossroads at altitude 202, take the path on the left, which descends steeply and can be slippery.
On your left, you will find a spring just before the forest road you took on the way there.
Turn left onto this path to return to the starting point (S/E).

Happy hiking, everyone!
