Description of the walk

The start is in front of the Corbier Tourist Office.

(S/E) Join the path running slightly above the resort and follow it uphill.

(1) At Paclet, take the path towards Col d'Arves. You will pass the restaurant Le Buddha Ski further on.

(2) Take the path that descends to the left of the main path towards the Col d'Arves. You will come out at the Lièvre Bleu sign. Descend to the left to the Col d'Arves.

(3) Continue straight ahead to the Porte de Taraveray, then take the path that climbs to the right (towards Mont Charvin). The single path leads to the summit via a number of hairpin bends.

(4) From Mont Charvin, continue straight ahead to the Col de la Combe Genin.

(5) Leave the path that branches off to the left and follow the ridge (the sign is unclear). You will come to a Y-junction with one path going up and another going down. Take the second path and descend into the forest, then pass the Forêt de l'Outraz sign.

(6) Turn left towards La Ramettaz and leave the forest.

(7) Turn right towards Les Broues.

(8) After passing the "Sur les Broues" sign and reaching the forest, turn left (even though there is no sign in this direction). Follow the path to reach the hamlet of Mollard.

(9) Continue for a few hundred metres along the road that runs alongside chalets and houses.

(10) Leave the road and turn right towards Les Sagnettes.

(11) After the climb, descend to the left towards La Chal via the "Lièvre" ski trail.

(12) At La Battua, take a large path of the same type that climbs back up towards the Col de la Chal.

(13) At the pass (some of the signpost may be missing), turn right, avoiding the direction of Les Potets and Mont Corbier. Further on, you will come to Combe des Arvins.

(2) Retrace your steps to return to Le Corbier (S/E).

Notes

Le Corbier, where the trail starts, is located a few minutes' drive from La Toussuire. There are numerous parking spaces accessible from the road, and the Tourist Office is on the snow front.

As indicated on the hiking signs, the paths leading to Mont Corbier can be steep in places and slippery when wet.

Passes near enclosures and pastures, but no crossings.
