Parking available at the Gaschney station car park
(S/E) From the car park, climb up and walk alongside the Gaschney farm, then turn left towards Schiessroth along the tarmac path marked with red-white-red rectangles. The climb is sometimes a little steep and the path is strewn with small gravel that can be slippery. Arrive at the Schiessroth farmhouse inn.
(1) Take the path marked with red rectangles towards Hohneck. Continue to the Scheferthal Pass.
(2) Continue left on the path marked with red rectangles, which follows theGR®®5, and arrive at the summit of Hohneck.
(3) Go around the inn and descend the other side on the path marked with red rectangles to the Col du Falimont.
(4) Turn right onto the red-white-red marked trail that runs along the northern flank of Hohneck and return to Col du Scheferthal.
(2) This time, continue left along the Red Triangle marked trail. Occasional walkers may find this difficult, as there are some steep and difficult sections. Continue to the Schallern restaurant.
(5) Walk past the restaurant, then take the downhill path, still marked with red triangles, and return to the Gaschney car park (S/E).
