Head to the Maurienne Valley until you reach La Chambre. Take the D213, Col de la Madeleine road, towards Saint-François-Longchamp. After passing Maisons Puges, continue along the road and then turn right towards the D99 - Montaimont - Espace nordique du Grand Coin. Follow the road until you reach the Notre-Dame de Beaurevers Chapel with a small car park in front, which is the starting point for the hike.
(S/E) From the chapel, turn right onto the D99 towards Montaimont and,after 70 metres, turn right onto the Chemin des Hameaux, which rejoins the D99further on. Turn right and then cross the hamlet of La Pallud.
(1) At the end of the hamlet, turn right onto Chemin des Hameaux, which runs alongside a wooden farm building. Ignore the path on the left at the fork and continue to Impasse des Ouches.
(2) Continue on the left to reach Rue de la Fruitière, then Rue du Plan. Cross it and continue opposite on Chemin du Bachal, then turn right onto the D99 again, towards the cemetery.
(3) Take a small, very steep path to the left of this road to rejoin the D99, then turn right and continue for about 400 metres. At the bend in the road to the left, turn right onto Chemin du Châtelard.
(4) Then turn onto the first path on the left towards Bonvillard. Return to the D99 and continue to the right.
(5) Pass Pierre Rouge, then the Scie bend and Pré de la Raie. Continue for another hundred metres or so until you reach a path on the right.
(6) Turn onto this path, which runs alongside a house with a light wooden staircase. Walk past the house on the right and rejoin the D99. Cross carefully and continue straight ahead to Route de Tarramur, then continue straight ahead for about 150 metres.
(7) At the bend, take the left-hand path for a few dozen metres, then turn right at the fork towards Lac du Loup. Continue along Chemin du Loup, which leads to the hamlet of the same name.
(8) Cross this hamlet and continue to Route du Lac.
(9) Turn left and arrive at Lac du Loup.
(10) Go around it on the right. At the end of the lake, turn left, heading west, following the shore and then going straight ahead into the meadow to reach Chemin des Pins.
(11) Turn left for 100 metres,then right towards Les Combes.
(12) At Les Combes, ignore the first path on the left towards Le Loup and, at the three-way junction, go straight ahead, following part of La Settaz. You will arrive at the ruins of Les Moulins de la Settaz.
(13) Continue along the path towards La Planche and join the Route de la Perrière.
(14) Turn left onto this road, arrive at the D99 and follow it to the right until you reach the fork in the road.
(6) Continue straight ahead and, following the same route as on the way there, return to the Notre-Dame de Beaurevers Chapel ( S/E).
