Park in front of Villelongue church.
(S/E) With your back to the church, take the road that climbs to the left, marked in red and white (GR®653), which joins the D162C.
Turn left for 10 metres (signposted Chemin de Saint-Jacques), then take the path that climbs up to the right into the woods, towards Salvetat-sur-Agoût.
When you reach a house, take the road on the right which climbs and then becomes a sunken lane.
(1) When the path comes out onto a small road, leave the marked trail and take the road on the right which descends until it meets the D162C. Turn left, and 10 metres further on, continue along the path on the right between the low walls, towards Presqu'île de Belbespré option crête, marked in yellow.
(2) When you approach a small house, go around it on the right, then leave the path on the far right and take the one on the left that climbs up the hill.
At a fork in the forest, leave the left-hand path and continue to the cross. Turn left, and the path will descend to a crossroads.
(3) Continue to the right, following the sign for "Rivages du lac" (lake shores). As you approach the village, the path becomes a tarmac road and leads to a crossroads.
(4) Turn left onto the road that descends, following the sign for Les berges du lac - Aller, marked in yellow and red/white. 500m further on, the markings leave the road and descend to the left onto a path towards the lake. The path follows the lake shore, crosses a stream and then turns north-east.
It climbs to a crossroads; ignore the first path on the left and take the one just after it, which also branches off to the left (signposted Les berges du lac - Aller).
(5) 50 metres further on, turn left again into the beech and oak trees. Continue along the path which crosses Robert's bridge; it then turns left and crosses a final bridge to reach a sign for "Les berges du lac, fin de l'aller" (lake shore, end of the outward journey).
(6) Follow the path in the opposite direction to return to the village and the church, where you will find the car park (S/E).
