(3) Turn right onto the forest road, after about 80m cross carefully the D983 road and rejoin the GR® 30 to follow the signs for Lac de Servières.
(4) At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead on the wide forest track, staying on the GR® 30 until you reach (7).
(5) Leave the forest track, turn left over the footbridge and stay on the path for 1.3 km.
(6) At Col de L'Ouire, turn right towards Lac de Servières 4.5 Km, using the style to cross the fence. Continue along the path, passing by point 1377 and Puy de Combe Perret (point 1380). Ignore the numerous paths on the left and right.
(7) Reach the water's edge of Lac de Servières. Leave the GR® 30 and turn right following the lakeshore for about 1.2 Km.
(8) Leave the lakeshore, bending right on a gently sloping path. At the sign for Lac de Servières (1202m), turn left towards Lac de Guéry (7.7 km) and follow the yellow PR® signs to Col de l'Ouire. Ignore the numerous paths on your left and right.
(9) At the crossroads, turn right onto a wide path, passing successively the Combe du Ruisseau de la Grande Fontaine and point 1283. Ignore a number of departures on your left and right.
(10) At the fork in the road (point 1279), turn left, and after 350 m turn right, leaving numerous paths on your left and right. Reach the Col de L'Ouire, already passed on the outward journey.
(6) Continue on the GR® 30 in the opposite direction.
(5) Cross the footbridge again and turn right.
(4) Leave the forest track to join the path straight ahead and continue for about 100 m to the Col de Guéry.
(3) Turn left, then follow the D 983 road to reach the car park (S/E) below.
A superb hike to do alone or with the family. There are no particular technical difficulties, the elevation gain is fairly gentle, and I think the level mentioned in the description should be classified as easy rather than moderate. It can be done as a pleasant walk, but you will need good walking shoes. Beautiful scenery. Please note that even though the elevation gain is reasonable, the hike will take a long time for those who are not used to long walks, as well as for young children. The directions are good and the app is easy to follow. Around Lake Servières, there are nice tables and benches for picnics. The return journey is along a track that is almost like a gravel road. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.
