Free car park near the start (100 m), with a viewpoint on the car park (north side).
For directions, follow thePR® Blue signs.
(S/E) Return to the road junction at the corner of the car park, then turn right at the picnic area. Take the path that descends south-east from the wooden table.
(1) Turn right and, a few metres further on, you will come to a small beach with a viewpoint over the lake. Continue along the path. At the hairpin bend, turn left and continue along the pontoons.
(2) At the intersection, turn right and walk along the Ruisseau des Mortes de Guéry stream on your left. Climb up the tree roots. There is a viewpoint overlooking the Cascade des Mortes waterfall (12 m high), which feeds the lake. Continue following the blue markings. You will arrive at a pasture. A gate allows you to access the area. Follow the path. Enjoy the beautiful view on the left to the sound of the river.
(3) Cross a wooden footbridge and leave the pasture, then turn right to enter a pine forest.
(4) At the intersection, take the path that runs along the fence on the left. At the fork, take the left path to discover a trail that is almost hidden by tall grass because it is much less used by hikers. On the right, after a hundred metres, a magnificent view opens up along this path surrounded by thousands of wildflowers.
(5) Further on, turn right and begin a fairly long descent into the forest. At the intersections, keep to the blue markings. You will arrive at the top of the car park (S/E).
