Description of the walk

Car park near Jullianges cemetery.

(S/E) From the cemetery, turn right onto the road. At the crossroads, keep right towards La Chaise-Dieu.

(1) Turn right onto a small tarmac road at the first opportunity, heading towards the hamlet of Granouillet. Cross the stream and continue along the road to the hamlet. Ignore a road on your left and enter the hamlet.

(2) At the T-junction, turn right onto a stony track that runs through the fields. Pass the first crossing over the railway line on your left and go round a small wood on the right.
Once you’ve passed through the copse, you’ll be able to see the railway line above you.
Head into the woods, continuing along the path until you cross the railway line. Take care when trains are running (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from June to September).
Carry on along the path until you reach the tarmac road (D35).

(3) Turn right. Carry on until you cross the railway line again at Jullianges station.
Carry on to the right towards the village along the road (D498), taking care of the traffic.
Turn left and cross the road to take the path that runs alongside the lake.
Turn right, cross the road again to reach the cemetery (S/E)
