Departure from the Plage du Valais car park in Saint-Brieuc.
(S/E) From the car park, turn right (south-east) onto the coastal path and climb the steps.
(1) After the bend by the huts, pass to the right of the yellow and blue barrier.
(2) Take the small path between the two hedges on the left of the green gate.
(3) Take the second small path on your right. At the top of this path, turn left onto theGR®34towards Yffiniac. Go down the dead-end road and, at the no entry sign, take the path on the left. Go around the kennels, join the road and continue along it.
(4) At the crossroads, take Chemin des Courses opposite. After 300 metres, follow the path on the left towards the viaduct.
(5) At a left-hand bend, turn right onto the path and go under the railway bridge. Walk along the cemetery on your right, then go up the street on your left, Chemin des Courses. At the roundabout, continue straight ahead and walk past the Croix Blanche restaurant. Reach the crossroads after the Sacré Coeur secondary school.
(6) Take the path under the trees opposite. To do this, use the pedestrian crossing about 50 metres to the right and return to the street you were on previously.
At the end of the descent, turn right onto the path that goes up into the woods. At the crossroads, turn left towards the pumping station. At the end of the path, turn left and walk along the Saint-Brieuc green port.
(7) Take the swing bridge. If it is closed, either wait or head towards Saint-Brieuc to take the other mobile footbridge near the Rosengart (bar, seafood restaurant) and return to the other side at the swing bridge. Follow signs for Saint-Laurent.
(8) At the crossroads by the Bistrot du Marin bar, turn left into Rue des Pêcheurs. Go up the road to the roundabout and take the street opposite for a few metres.
(9) Turn right onto Rue des Terres Noires. Stay on this road and continue along Venelle des Portes.
Turn right onto the D24 and then immediately left onto Rue des Bleuets and go down towards Plage des Bleuets (Hôtel-Resto des Bleuets).
(10) Take the car park on the right, follow the coast along theGR®34and the road to the swing bridge.
(7) Cross the swing bridge again. Continue to the left and walk along the harbour. Pass the silo and then, after the lock, continue along the cul-de-sac.
(11) Cross the railway line and climb the steps. Follow the path through the woods to Valais Beach and then the car park (S/E).
