The start is from the car park on the Route de Four in Vaulx-Milieu. It is located on the right when the road makes a 90° bend to the left.
(S/E) Follow this road for a good hundred metres, then take the path that climbs up to the right. Halfway up the slope, turn left onto the steep path that leads to the Pavillon des Quatre Vents.
(1) Take the wide path on your left, which crosses the entire plateau, skirting the housing estate on your right.
(2) At the crossroads marked by a large stone on your left, turn left, then left again a little further on, onto the path that descends towards the Vaulx-Milieu - Four road. Turn left onto the road, take care, then right to cross the Étang des Trois Eaux dyke.
(3) Turn right onto the road, then follow the path under the farm that runs alongside the fields and enters the woods.
(4) At the fork, keep left to join a wide path. Turn right and arrive at the Golf des Trois Vallons.
(5) Turn left to cross the car park and take the path to the right of the restaurant, which soon descends. Continue straight ahead.
(6) Cross the fairway of one of the golf holes. Go up opposite, walk along the pavilions on your left and take the path on the left leading to Boulevard des Trois Vallons, which you follow to the left until you reach the roundabout.
(7) Take the path on the left, between the woods and the houses, which descends and then climbs again to reach a small stream whose source is just to your left. Take the path on the right, which is closed by a metal barrier, and follow it to the Montgeard sports course.
(8) Go through the gate to reach the small car park, walk down a few metres, then go up the road on your left. Take the steep path on the right that climbs up into the Charafeuille woods. The path makes a 90° turn to the right once at the top, then remains flat before descending steeply. Ignore the two paths on the right and left to reach Monbaly Castle.
(9) Turn right to walk along the park wall, then follow the small road on the left (Rue de Belmont) which leads back to the centre of Vaulx-Milieu. Join Rue Centrale and follow it to the left. Turn left onto the pedestrian street that leads behind the church, turn right to walk along it and take the small road opposite.
Turn left one last time to reach the car park (S/E).
