Park on the Allée des Platanes in Juillac.
(S/E) Continue north along the Allée des Platanes. When you reach the Y-junction at the corner of the cemetery, turn right, walk alongside the cemetery, then carry on straight ahead along a dirt track until you reach a fork.
(1) On the flat stretch, turn right. Then, immediately, turn left onto a path that leads onto a wide track. Follow it to the left as far as the water tower, then turn right, between the apple orchards. At the fork, carry on straight ahead to the next junction and turn right, between the rows of trees.
(2) At the major crossroads, turn left, between the meadows.
Carry on across the plateau and enjoy the view, with the Ayen and Yssandon hills on the horizon, then leave the main path by turning left to head down into the woodland.
Carry on straight ahead until you reach a hairpin bend, then turn right. At the bottom of the valley, turn left.
(3) Cross the stream for the first time. After 30 metres, turn left and cross the stream a second time at a ford, then head uphill through the woods.
Below the village of La Roussille, amongst meadows and apple orchards, join a wider, stony track (elevation 345).
(4) Head down to the left, skirting the apple orchard. Continue along the main track until you reach the village of Bazas. Follow the road through the village to the D 901. Turn left and follow the D 901 carefully for about 200 metres (observe the highway code!).
(5) Turn left onto a wide track running alongside the orchards. Follow the main route (with the village of Artigeas on your left) until you reach the Route d’Artigeas.
(6) Cross the road and continue straight ahead on the path furthest to the right, to reach the junction you passed on the way out (view of the Dordogne and Hautefort Castle).
(1) Turn right, walk past the cemetery and rejoin the Allée des Platanes (S/E).
